Here, i found this one...
http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/o...railer/003.jpg I don't know how heavy is the load, but here it is. |
@ MM -- I dunno what my tongue weight is but I pick the trailer up with my hands and hook it to the car. I would say it's a good bit less than the 50# bag of sand I bought the other day. I would have to guess that my damage was more a function of compressive loads imposed by the fasteners smashing the contoured sheet metal and vibration/dynamic loading acting on the sheetmetal where it touched the sharp edges of the reinforcement plate. Both things become irrelevent when you weld the reinforcement plate in. So, good job on that. Also good job on welding such dissimilar thicknesses. That would have kicked my butt.

The random european folk comes into play.
Towing limit, per my manual= 1200kg (2645lbs.). Just get a trailer with proper brakes and you'll be able to start uphill and stop downhill. You don't really need a 6000lbs SUV with an 8l v8 to tow, we tow cars with a 45hp panda 4x4 regularly lol. |

I think every American should be forced to do three things before they are allowed the full benefit of citizenship: 1) Compulsory Military service 2) Two years abroad in Europe, unsubsidized 3) Two full weeks of a Bondurant-style driving school The stupidity in threads like this one would cease to exist*... *wishful thinking... |
