tinted windows - on lease?
 

ok - 1 mod done, 2 more to go!
got valentine-1 installed.
tommorow i order tape-deck for ipod install..

and now for mod #3 !

I want to tint my windows - so that if I ever get pulled over, i can still remove my radar detector without the cop knowing :)

can i tint windows on a leased vehicle? is it easy to remove after 3 years?

You should be able to peel the tint off with a razor blade.

and not cause damage to the antennae in the rear window?

Once you get the tint started with the razor, it can be pulled off by hand. At least I was able to do that with my side windows. They use soap and water or glass cleaner to remove the adhesive that will be left on the window.

Anyone else have any experience?

Took the tint off my driver side today...had a scratch in it......peeled right off....used a citrus based cleaner to remove the adhesive, cleaned the window and redid the tint....no problem :d

radar detector isnt illegal so there would be no reason for u to get tint just for that reason... i have the valentine 1 as well. what do u mean by you installed it? you mean u just plugged it into the cigeratte lighter? haha funny choice of word but yeah... good luck with your tint and it should come off easy dont stress

don't worry about tint on leased cars, my parents have never had a problem with it. When you turn in your RX-8 it's going to be sold at auction anyways. I don't plan an removing my tint when I turn My 8 in, then again, I'll prolly buy my 8--I LOVE IT!

i wired the v1 into the dashboard - and the remote console also.

Well having tint is a good thing.
For 1. People who wont to jack your car cant see if you have a car alarm, an 2. You wont get them UV rays. But is it illagl for you to have a radar in your state?

it isn't illegal for me to have radar in new york - but it is in CT -- and i drive through there sometimes
