If you can't afford a new RX8, then stay away. Mantience cost are high and so is fuel cost. Ownership of a rotary generally isn't cheap.

But don't bitch about gas mileage; the Nissan 350Z and Mustang GT V-8 get near the same anyways. It's typical for a sport car.
