My brother-in-law has a new Legacy GT.

It is a very sweet ride. Really scoots too and nice interior.

It just doesn't look sexy enough from the outside for my tastes, though.

But a damn good car.

The S60R is not your dad's Volvo. Not only is it a sexy mofo, it is a dream to drive.....300HP/AWD. But I agree with you about most Volvos, they are boring.

It shouldn't be compared with EVO or STI; if you observe the recent trend of the japanese automobile, manufacturers are moving towards making cars that are more aerodynamic and more powerful because they are trying to enter the european market and compete with european car manufacturers. Even the new STI is revised so that they can get it as close to a BMW M3 performance wise. With the 280 hp limitations of the japanese market being lifted (not officially announced), GTR, Supra, RX-7 (???) are aiming to be supercar category on their next evolution. The MPS 6 should be compared to cars like SAAB for example, any japanese car manufacturers clearly has the ability to make cars like EVO or STI with similar price tag and named it something else.

OT- There was never a 280ps legal limit. It was a gentlemans agreement that said "Lets not get in hp wars and just say our cars are 280ps even though it could be completly more".

Yeah the point being, they couldn't be bothered developing high hp engines coz of this agreement.
