Stock plug wires vs. aftermarket plug wires

I'm going to be doing a tune up on my rx8 soon. I will be putting new stock plugs in, new stock coils, and probably new stock wires. I was just wondering if there was a aftermarket wire set that is superior to the stockers, and if so, is it worth it? or should I just stick with the oem plug wires?

Thanks for any input,
Michael

Buy the Black Halo Racing (BHR) Ignition. At the same time you can buy new spark plugs as well from them for a very good price.

PM Charles R. Hill to buy one. You won't regret it!

HBR has great coils package and You should also look into Racing Beats Ultra Ignition Wires too

Racing Beat wires work well. Noticable change.

I have auto exe leads - they are hellish expensive but the best quality i've seen .
I also make over 320whp with the stock coils + these leads I think the leads are helping

OEM plug wires are not bad but I went with the Racing Beat Ultras. No plug wire is going to make a huge difference.

Thanks shazy. The Racing beat Ultra 8mm wires resists High temps and reduces electromagnetic radiation. It would also benefit you more if you update the spark plugs as well. Its not a true horsepower mod on this car but can help with a more consistent spark

the difference will = .5% in actual performance where as your mental performance meter will register at least 7.3% Its like a placebo. Upgrade everything or nothing in my book. Enjoy your car, maintain basic maintenance and when you have real $ saved up, get 5 or 6 mods that actually work together and wont hold back OEM parts trying to do their jobs the way they were meant to. This is experience talking. I have a '66 Mustang and when I put a new intake manifold and exhaust the result was orgasmic until I spent double that cost fixing the parts that couldn't keep up with the higher flow and higher temperatures. I actually twisted my drive shaft like a pretzel.
Our cars are great and they have a lot of potential but so are cute girls, and if you do one thing wrong to them you'll fuck up the entire relationship......girls......wankles...so touchy..... but such is life.

They are not a performance upgrade , more of a reliability upgrade in my book .
Some aftermarket leads have much better quality connections than stock leads . This is where the stock leads can cause issues

Agreed. I had a customer one time have his spark plugs just slide off over time which I thought to be odd.

We have ours always in stock and ready to ship.

Plus they add some blue color to the engine bay too :)

Those interested in for ugrading can order here------> https://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-9...ccesories.aspx

All of our plug wires are tested before they leave our doors as well to ensure quality.
