Steering Control

Anyone who has driven the RX-8 did you guys think that the steering was not a quick to act to you inputs and didnt really give you any real feed back. I drove it the other day and thought the steering didnt seem right or and the suspention seemed soft. The car didnt seem to give any feed back. I did think that the throttle was nice and smooth and seem to rev and it accelleratied ok. It doesnt really feel like it was accelleraing but all of a sudden it was going pretty fast. I also like the length of the gears they seemed to go on for a good long time.I love the idea of the Rx-8 and the uses of it and I didnt like how the shifter seem to be sort of lose I didnt seem like it was smooth shift between gears. I was nice and short though. What do you guys think? I was sold on one before I drove it. And started to think did I really want to get one. Think about this too I am use to older RX-7 handling. Do you guys think I am off base in these questions?I guess I was expecting a harder ride. Do any of you guys know of a harder suspention on the sport models. I drove a grand touring model. Every thing else about it was great. I seemed more like a drive everyday, A to B car, Not really a sportcar with 4 doors.
