Was it a steal??? i think so
Bought an 04 MT Grand Touring over the weekend.

Sounds good to me! Congratulations! Nice APR, btw...:)
|
pretty sweet
|
Good deal. Congrats on the car.
Let the mods begin! |
Very fair deal. Nice buy!!
|
Sounds like a great deal. Congrats & welcome.
|
Thank you guys...
Now I need to learn how to take this baby... new body kit and exhaust .. would that be a good place to start?? :) |
Lots of stuff to do . . .
post some pics so we can see what you don't have. Strakes, accents and all the small stuff - take a look around the multimedia/photo section to get some ideas. The best place to actually see *most* of the kits on one website is prlly japanparts.com. Happy hunting! |
Car looks fantastic already, only reason I put a kit on mine so early is because I was in a small front end collision and insurance payed for the new front bumper and hood.
Id say the money you would have spent on a kit would be better spent on performance mods. Say your gunna spend around $2k for a full kit, for that much you could put some coilovers and a new flywheel/clutch on the car, make it handle like a beast and give it some more pep in the revs. If youre gunna do the exhaust dont cop out and just do a catback, get a highflow cat or catless midpipe and do the whole exhaust, otherwise the gains are nothing but placebo and noise. Congrats on the good buy, and I hope you enjoy the new ride as much as the rest of us do! |
congrats
|
my recommendations:
1st: racing beat oil and radiator screens 2nd: Racing beat or other sway bars and new front end links 3rd: axial flow short shifter |
Congrats. Enjoy reading and searchin the Site.
|
I nearly agree
1st: racing beat oil and radiator screens - good protection 2nd: axial flow short shifter - best mod for the '8 3rd: Racing beat or other sway bars and new front end links - probably my next mod. Also strakes and clear corners are good appearance mods. |
Definitely a steal
|
nice price, those miles aren't bad at all. Congrats
|
Thank you guys!
I couldnt find anything about radiator screens on the forums.. and seems like axial flow short shifter can only be purchased from one source.. man.. i dont know much about cars.. but i need to know now.. rx8 is not a typical machine... it "talks" to me.. |
It talks to all of us Balboa. welcome to the cult ;-)
|
Its a Steal!!!
no litterally, You better lay low for a while, Cops might be looking out for that car. jp, sweet deal. something youll learn about this car (as any sports car) the mods you put in it arent always "looks" or something that the public will notice. Its the inside mechanics that You want to modify 1st, then turn to looks later. nobody likes an all show no go car. read up on the forums, theres Crazy information about anything and everything youll need. Welcome Home. |
sounds like a nice find. Enjoy it bro!
|
Grand touring for 16k? hell yeah!
