Stainless steel door sill trim plates worth it?

Anyone purchase Mazda's optional aluminum door sill trim plates? (Sorry, I said "stainless steel" in the title. They're aluminum.) If so, after all these years how do they look now? Messed up with scratches, or look pretty good? I'm thinking about getting 'em.

Thanks.

The s1's didn't come with a stainless door sill plate? What do they have just black plastic?

I cant seem to find pictures anywhere to tell me that or not, my s2 has them. I just kept the plastic sheet that came on them on there and they still look perfect 3 years later.

When I bought my car the passenger-side's plate had fallen off. The driver's plate still looks great. Granted, I just took the protective plastic off of it this past weekend.

I should have been more clear; there was an optional aluminum trim plate for the S1 cars:

If you have this plate, let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

They look really cool. Seems a pit pricey though

Not too bad, but i like the original though.

i thought they were standard on all.
they did fall off easily though.

I made a DIY to prevent that from happening. Mine are still on, 7 years later.

I've got a set on my 2009. Only reason I got them was because of a super great price at Sevenstock couple years ago.

There still in great shape installed on my car, but I don't step on them and avoid scraping anything on them.

They look nice, but if your paying msrp, it is pretty pricey for what they are.

Here's a picture from an online ad. Mazda part number F151-V1-370F

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

as much as I love my car and rotary, that kind of price is just not worth it.

I rather spend it on something functional, like a good set of Gauges, than that.

well I guess it's not that bad, consider a 3 inches 40th Anniversary Badge cost like 150 bux ...

Yes I'm poor, bite me

My S1 came with it and they still look brand new. Not like anyone steps on or sets things on them anyways.
