SR Mid pipe

what do you guys think about the SR Mid Pipe? is it the best gain in HP? over RB and BB

I have the hi-flow cat SR Motorsports unit (w/resonator). Very well built. Very light compared to stock cat & resonator. RB does not make a midpipe unit. B&B units are nice, but if you have a modified cat back unit I would recommend getting the midpipe with the resonaotr unit as it will be LOUD otherwise...VERY LOUD.

I also have the SR midpipe (with resonator). Like he^^^ said, it is very well built and lighter than stock. It has been installed for over a year and a half with no problems.

how does it sound? gains in HP? mid pipes dont have a cat? or what....

The sound was a bit louder. Honestly with my RB cat back I did not like it as much as when I had the RB cat back alone. I dynoed my car with the SR high flow cat, pullies & RE intake & while I only got 5 whp at the top I did get about 10 hp across the rev range. I think a big part of that was the hi-flow cat. IS it noticeable hp gain...not really. Maybe if you got a CZ unit, tuned it & put on a hi-flow cat then I''m sure the difference will be noticeable.

There are several versions of a "midpipe," 1) hi-flow cat w/ resonator, 2) hi-flow cat w/o resonator, 3) no cat w/ resonator & 4) no cat w/o resonator (straight piece of pipe). All the term midpipe really means (to me) is some kind of replacement for the stock cat & resonator portion of the exhaust. I will caution you though if you have an aftermarket exhaust, or are planning to get one do not get choices 2, 3 or 4 as they will be very loud !
