Spark Plugs

Ok guys help me out here, I have a 2005 RX-8 with only 15,000 miles, it's my baby. Dearlership said I need to change my plugs because they are old. They are asking to much for the plugs is there a better brand out there that I can buy and have them put in or should I stick with the type of plugs the dealership put's in? What brand are the dealer plugs?:dunno:

1. This is not a DIY. Read the sticky explaining what belongs in the DIY forum.
2. Where are you located? Plugs come in different price ranges, and shipping may or may not be efficient for you.
3. I recommend getting familiar with the search function. This topic has been discussed in the recent past. Click the google link in my sig and use "cheap spark plugs" as the key

As long as this is in the right forum, and has not been locked...

The OEM NGK plugs (as specified in the owner's manual) are the best ones to use. For a good price, try the forum vendors, rockauto.com, or amazon. Then read the DIY on how to put them in.

NGK is the best plugs. $19.99 each at autozone. make sure you get 2 leading and 2 trailing plugs.
15,000 is a little early to need new plugs, they should last closer to 30K.
I have 28,000 on my original plugs and have experienced no loss in mpg or performance but will change at 30,000 out of an over abundance of caution.

I'm at 32,000+ and never had my spark plugs changed yet. It's kinda losing performance and gas mileage, but its all good. I only drive the car locally. Anyway, i will have to change my plugs, coils, and wires soon. I'd rather do it all at once to get it over with.
