Soon to be owner

To be entirely honest i'm not sure if this post goes here and i'm also sure you've all seen this before but I just can't contain my excitement so I have to post

I've been lurking around these forums i'd say for about 2 years now and never felt the need to register until now

I saw an unlisted price 2004 black rx-8 with only 46k miles on it. Keep in mind I know that isn't to low on the ladder but considering my budget if i could get a deal it would be excellent

called the dealer up only $11,800USD !!

clean history reports, no dents scratches or anything like that

now I believe this is an incredible deal. who's with me?

dozer 07-31-2008 03:21 PM

this car is to fun for you....TRUST ME....not bad on the deal...swoope it up and take care of a nice car!

dozer 07-31-2008 03:21 PM

ohhh and post pics when you get it....and welcome to the addiction

Suoko 07-31-2008 03:24 PM

I will definitely post pics up when I grab it, if the purchase happens. however at this point i'm pretty sure i'm going to for it.

dozer 07-31-2008 04:26 PM

SWEEEEEEEET....when do u plan on pickin it up?

Suoko 07-31-2008 04:33 PM

Well if everything works out the way I want it to. I'd say no later than this saturday

dozer 07-31-2008 04:36 PM

briann 07-31-2008 04:44 PM

Sweet deal.
What model is it, a Sport?

mzrx 07-31-2008 05:44 PM

more importantly, is it AT or Manual transmission. Welcome to the club.

as they say, "If it's too good to be true...."
Is it from a Mazda dealership or "Honest Eds"?

RX7Matt 07-31-2008 06:29 PM

I'm sort of in the same boat. Way back in 2003, I ran into a truck with my '91 RX7 vert and seriously considered getting a RX8. I wanted something to autocross...stupid me didn't get it because I sat in the back seat of one at a dealership and didn't like the foot room in the back seat. Who knew they'de be the car to have in B-Stock. Now I've had this '02 VR6 Jetta for 5 years and I just stopped by the Mazda dealer and took a hard look at this Red '09 sport model. Oh so tempting......... The salesman at this dealer was a rotary idiot. I was asking about the weight between the '09 models and the other years and he starts bringing up the RX8 weight versus the 3rd gen RX7! Oh brother, I wasn't going to wait around for him to tell me about the 4 banger it had under the hood. :banghead:

If you get an 04 model, make sure it has the stronger engine.

Matt

AJ's Shinka 07-31-2008 06:47 PM

Man check that engine before you buy that 04. Welcome and GL

TopGear8 07-31-2008 06:56 PM

Brilliant Black is the best color! Good choice :)

04RX8man 07-31-2008 08:09 PM

yeah is it MT or AT if AT walk away

KoDeD 08-01-2008 10:42 AM

MT is the way my friend. But anyways, GL with the buy and hopefully everything works out. Sounds like a good deal, but mileage is definitely pretty high.

Suoko 08-01-2008 01:52 PM

It's manual transmission

I wouldn't go for it if it was an AT

Should I just ask the dealer if it's had a rebuilt engine or not?

edit: Also it's got that two tone red and black leather interior so I think it's sport package

SilverHokie 08-01-2008 02:09 PM

Be careful...that's all I'm saying...I hiss whenever I see an 04 for sale. :Eyecrazy:

Suoko 08-01-2008 02:21 PM

I understand, any helpful advice or specific things I should ask about/ look for about the car?

dozer 08-01-2008 02:40 PM

leather interior = GT model.....

SideOfBacon 08-01-2008 02:45 PM

loved it on day 1, love it 15 months later. you will too! join the addiction :D

vanvideo@aol.com 08-01-2008 02:53 PM

46K is good mileage for a 4-yr. old car. That's roughly 12k a year, about average.
If you don't want it, tell me where it is and I'll buy it. That's one of the lowest prices I've seen on an '04, and believe me, I've been looking for awhile.

Thanks for the info Dozer

and yeah I realize its a good price which is why I want to jump on it. I just need to make sure the car isn't faulty or going to break down in 10k miles
