picking it up off a private seller..real cool guy. took real good care of it.
probably going to pick it up Tuesday...still have to transer insurance nd everything over.

He tried explaining the whole car has to warm up alittle...anyone wanna help me out alittle?

I wait until it hits the second bar above cold. But 5-10 min is usually good for me. Just don't turn it on and then turn it off. Like moving it out of the garage or switching places in the drive way.

Oh and congrats on the 8!

yea thats what he told me..and thanks man soo excited.

already had engine replaced by mazda...from what i hear alot of the rx8s had engine problems.

so my engine has 36k miles on it.
not too bad.

Do alot of people have problems with these?
like engine problems? im not going to be beating it up or anything...might get on it here and there but nothing bad.

for me I just start driving it till it drops below 1500rpm
and beating the engine is good, to blow out the carbon deposit
all 04-08 engines dont have enough lubrication, so premix might help

It's all about how you take care of it. There's a cheesy saying that "a red line a day keeps the carbon away." check the oil about every 3rd fill up. And the coolant. Just make your way through the forums here and you will get down pat on how to manage and maintain these beautiful cars. I was on here for a month before I bought mine. Have fun man!

so me sometimes going fast will help with the carbon buildup good to know haha.

yeah only thing is this forums a little confusing but i think ill get the hang of it.

thanks for the help

take care of it the best you can and hope, the 04 and auto's had the greatest amount of engine failures so just do what you can and let the warranty take care of the rest (if you ever need it)
