So I got a call earlier tonight from Mazda USA about a Focus Group on the RX8
 
They asked me to participate in a focus group with the RX8 engineers to improve the car. Of course I said yes. Supposedly I'm going to get an email with instructions on how to participate on an online site or something.

Anybody else get a call like this?

I got that phone call last week. The email just showed up in my inbox today. Haven't taken the survey yet.

You know, IF they were not planning much for the RX8 why would they be researching sooo much on the car. I took 2 mailed in surveys, 1 phone, and I finally got tired and didn't do 1 mail in.

Why ask so many questions if you aint going to upgrade the car???? Hmmmmmmmm.... :scratchhe

they need as much data as possible to pindown valid issues/concerns/intersts for improvement. I can't imagine its a quick process... just cause you think it makes sense. I'd say bare with it and hope for the best, so that people like me can reape the benefits in the upcoming model... hehe. If they gave some sort of incentive like $ towards routine service n such it'd make sense to me.

I don't think we can say that they aren't going to upgrade it. You don't usually see a bump for 3-4 yrs or so in the life of a particular model.

As far as the focus group goes.... i've gotten the call but then I never heard anything after that. Maybe it has something to do w/the bitching I did at the service department when they overfilled my car. :D:

I too have gotten the call, a couple months ago after I had the car for 6 months and the email appeared a week later and I participated. Anyone that visits this site regularly would most likely say yes in my opinion since we care about the car enough to spend countless hours on this forum.

My RX8 :kiss: Me. We really need to change this smiley to one kissing a car to really be effective.

Yeah, I know...upgrades never happen fast enough for us fans and we are never satisifed it seems.
