so besides the actual flywheel and clutch ....

... what parts do I need to get if I was going to upgrade to a Racing Beat Flywheel, and ACT Prolite clutch? Keeping in mind I will have to take this to the local rotary shop (Gotham Racing) to get the actual work done. Since I'm assuming they have to drop the tranny to install would I need to buy some replacement tranny oil since all that oil would just fall out during the install? (currently have Redline MT90 in there)

Are there any other seals/gaskets I would have to have for when I drop the car off to be worked on? Thanks for the heads up

you would not need to change/add tranny fluid if they do not spill anything when they are installing. but make sure you have the correct counterweight for your flywheel; cuz if u dont you can damage your tranny's synchros or the tranny itself. i would highly recommend you to change your rear main seal [which cost like 10 bucks]..change your pilot bearing [12 bucks] and one more seal that costs around 30 bucks..[i forgot the name]. they should not charge you much or nothing at all since they're going to have everything apart anyway. let me know if this helps you out. good luck

if done properly no fluid should be needed... and you might want to read more...

no such thing as a prolite clutch. that is a flywheel... you can choose a stage 1 or stage 2 clutch... i would go with a stage 1. unless you are going to have 400 hp in the near future... that kit should include a pilot bearing and a throw out bearing...

as to the flywheel. i would go with a prolite or a street lite. but do know that you have to get a counterweight with it...

just get the ACT Combo package from rx7store.net

dunno if they have it at rx8store, prolly do. It's cheap, and it comes with the pilot and throwout bearing And the counterweight. it's a good deal, and a great upgrade. feels awesome too. make sure, if you're doing it yourself to get a clutch alignment tool, maybe a stopper, and a puller (i got mine from racing beat for 35, works great)

good luck with your decision
