Shock Sensor Turned Off??
I've read the threads on the shock sensor and thanks to the information provided I was able to adjust the sensitivity. My question is.... I turned it all the way counter-clockwise so hopefully it wouldn't go off every time the neighborhood AH drives by, so far it is working .....
but now I'm wondering if I turned it all the way off, is that possible? or will it just take a jet airplane landing on top of the car to set it off now? Thanks for any information you have!!!! :D |
it is probably so "un-senstive" (can't be a word) that it might as well be off...

You should just give it a try - set the alarm then see if you can get it to go off by kicking the tires or knocking on the glass - or try swaying the car a bit. You should easily be able to determine at what threshold it's now set to.

There is a small, red LED on the sensor unit (there is on mine, anyway) that will illuminate when the unit senses a shock. When you turn the white dial, you can see how sensitive the setting is by tapping on the side of the unit. I have mine turned all the way down (i.e., the least sensitive setting) -- I can still make the red light go on, but I have to tap the unit pretty hard.
Note that the alarm itself will not go off when the door is open. Hope this is helpful. |
