shinka = USA/Canada
evolve = UK

EDIT:
This is from Wiki

Shinka

In 2005, Mazda introduced the first special edition RX-8 called "Sports Prestige Limited" in Japan and "Shinka" in North America. Shinka takes it's name from the Japanese word meaning "transformation" or "evolution" [6]. Billed as a more luxurious grand touring model, this Shinka came with Black Cherry exterior color and Parchment leather interior along with subtly chromed 18" wheels. Only 1357 were made in the 2005 model year (though 2150 were scheduled, production never reached that amount). The most significant mechanical change were slightly revised Bilstein shocks and suspension cross member injected with urethane foam to improve ride quality.

Shinka returned for 2006 as a production trim package, now available in Copper Red, Galaxy Grey, and Whitewater Pearl. Only 1500 were made in 2006.

Evolve

Launched in 2006 the ‘Evolve’ was the first special edition for the UK. The new model was named after the original Mazda concept car seen in Detroit in 2000 and was limited to a production run of just 500.

Based on the 231ps high-power version,it had several unique exterior features. These include a choice of two exclusive colours (Copper Red Mica 400 and Phantom Blue Mica 100), unique dark silver 18 x 8J alloy wheels, a polished aluminium Rotary crest on the front air dam, dark silver bezel headlamps, sports door mirrors, polished aluminium side air outlet fins, Rotary branded B-pillar trims, chrome exhaust surrounds.

Inside, the Evolve features unique stone leather and Alcantara® sporty seat trim, plus black leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear knob and hand-brake lever. The Evolve Special Edition with its enhanced specification was great value for money the same price as a standard RX-8 231ps model with leather trim.

You have a shinka

RX8Soldier 10-24-2011 09:54 AM

^Why do you say that?

Didn't UK/Canada 8's come with headlight washers (i think that's what they are called) his does not have those, therefore im assuming its a US model and its copper red so it would be a shinka.

Good logic and concur, 2006 Copper Red Shinka (US).

I went by username PRmazdafan. PZ is a uk model, and I got confused :P

Either way, I love the car. Copper Red is my 2nd choice of color :) I wish PB was offered as a Shinka edition in US/Can

If I hadn't gotten a 2005 Black Cherry Mica Shinka, I too would certainly have gotten a 2006 Copper Red Shinka, or a 40th Anniversary edition, in that order. ;)

You're welcome and yes, I know you didn't mean anything bad, I didn't mean to offend either. I just quoted you since you asked him to please use English, I thought maybe I could help. I don't know why my post is gone now though :dunno:
