Shift Knob
 

I was told by the dealership that the shift knob does not come off by itself and the whole shifter has to come off to replace the knob. Sounds kinda ridiculous to me, is this true?

No, you have to trade in the whole car.

Yeah, thats thing about Mazda, built Ford tough, so you can't take the shift knob out. lol

Wait is this on an auto or manual transmission?

The manual shifter screws off by twisting it.

I'm not certain about the auto knob though.

lol...its a manual....I already got the dealership to commit to replacing the knob...it was scratched when i got it.
