Suggested retail value according by KBB.com if in excellent condition is $24,005 with the specs you stated. Maybe more if you have package included with the car. Ex. Sport, Touring, and Grand package. Good luck with selling a most appreciated car. I am sure you'll get a significant offer for this one!

I would say a realistic price is about 3k less than what REV_ME mentioned.

Don't even bother going to carmax. They wanted to give me $17,000 for my 2004, GT, navi, etc. It had about 22,000 miles on it at the time.

some job to carry passengers around? maybe 5 guests or something? iono haha

good luck selling. you're probably only going to get rid of it for... around 21k. there's too many 8s out there at the dealer right now.

imagine the pain going from a 8 to an SUV. I think I'd rather walk.

I love my 8 to death, but if you're trying to get rid of one at the moment, prepare to take a substancial loss as opposed to what KBB tells you.

I went through some buyer's remorse about a week after buying my 05 new, and I found out that the best offer I could get was almost $4K less then the KBB price. As others have mentioned, with dealers cutting prices down into the deep $22-24K range...you'll have a lot to compete with.

I wouldn't think it's too absurd to ask about $22,000 to start negotiating.

I was thinking 20K, i got a new job as a electrician and might have to drive on unpaved surefaces and a long trip in the winter in the snow might be kind of scary in a rx-8... nothing is to final yet tho i might get a 96 blazer and keep the car. or get a 04 blazer and get ride of my car. I just don't want to get rid of it lol.

well considering you can buy a new rx8 for 4K under invoice easy.. used is not worth it unless you get a really good deal... which means someone like you took it in the ***.

i agree, get the older blazer and keep the rx-8 around if you have room for it.

I just sold my '04 Touring package (which is what yours sounds like) with same mileage as yours for $18,000. I'm in Southern California, though; where you are (wherever that is) the used RX-8 market might be different.
