Self Leveling Headlight Issue?
I just picked up a new 06 Sport on Sunday night. When driving home, I noticed that at times the left headlight seemed to be "cut-off". By cut off, I mean that everything was illuminated out in front as you'd expect, but from about the middle of the car and off to the left there was a very distinct cut-off where the illumination stopped. Almost like being cut-off or a shadow being thrown from something inside the headlight. I only saw this when the car was going downhill over a small rise in the road....on a flat part of road lights looked normal. I don't know how the self levelers work, but one thought I had was that they were sticking or out of adjustment a bit?? Kind of hard to describe, but does anyone have any thoughts??

The self level headlights only adjust for load not for road conditions. The sharp cut-off is a 'feature' of the lights.

The light looks like this
----------------------------/------------------------ ---------------------------/ right side is higher. There is an adjustment procedure in the shop manual to set initial aim. See your dealer and don't let them tell you that they can't be adjusted. |

That is by design! Its so you don't blind on comming traffic. ALL HIDs do that.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Makes sense!
