Screen Display

Im new to the world of the RX-8 and i can say i love it. I had a question, on the LED screen were is shows the Radio Station and the temp out side and all that stuff. I noticed when the sun hits it you can see the stuff that doesnt light up. I noticed this one that looks like a fan and the amount of speed it is coming out. When i have my air on this does not come on. What is that pirticular light soppost to do, and how can i get it to turn on?

The screen gets washed out whenever the light hits it; a problem with red displays and the innate brightness of the screen, I am told, sort of like with iPods and cell phones. No big deal.

I don't understand the problem with the AC, however.

iPods and cell phones are LCD's not LED's like on the car. It's sorta different how they work. You won't see as much of a problem on a LCD usually.

I have no idea about the fan icon thing. Maybe it has to do with the auto climate cnotrol system available oversees (in Japan I believe).

Yea that what i thought it was for. I had it on my Honda Accord with the Auto climate, and i was wondering if it should be on when the AC was on. Thanks

Yep... that's the indicators for climate control (which US cars don't have). Climate control is on our Australian cars. We gotta get something in return for paying twice as much as you do for your RX-8s :p: ;)

maybe theres a loose wire somewhere, hit the dash as hard as you can, maybe that will fix the problem. be sure u dont damage the dash tho, haha

Yea ill get right on that one

It's the Forced Induction indicator, but Mazda left it off all of the US cars...
