I've read the threads about people experincing vandalism with their 8's, but never though it woud happen to me. On Monday I was out of town for a 1 day trip and parked at the airport. Of course I picked a parking spot at the end of the row with no one next to me. When I got back a mere 8 hours later, it looked over the car as I always do, and noticed a nice dent in the rear fender flare. It looks like someone grabbed the rear fender well above the tire and pushed in a nice dent with their thumb. It took me a while to figure it out, there was no scratch, just a nice dent that perfectly matches the size of my thumb!

Needless to say I was pretty pissed that someone would do that.

After trying to pul the dent out with a suction cup, I tried the ding-king, the product that orange-glo guy sells on TV. Amazingly, it popped out the dent on the first try. If you look really hard you can still see a very small wave in the paint, but much better than it was.

No more parking at the open airport lot!

 

some people can be ruthless when other people have anything considered nice. It's rediculous.

I think people are just jealous that someone else can have a car that nice. The fact that they are pretty rare here also makes the car seem more exotic and therefore more of a target. The funny thing is there was a WB 8 about 50 yards away from mine at the airport, I usually see about 1 8 a month here.
