rx8 performance hybrid (more than just a theory)

ok I have searched and read alot of topics and posts about a hybrid rx8. most people just talk about how complicated it would be and a conversion could never be done, or people talk about the hydrogen one mazda made. I work for a guy that builds either hybrids or all out electrics out of porsches (its actually not all that complicated to do a hybrid conversion as long as its a RWD car) http://www.coolgreencar.net/ thats the site for the guy I work for.

let me clear a few things up. my hybrid design will consist of a electric motor mounted after the trans inline with the drive shaft, I would have to replace the drive shaft with a shorter custom shaft. the batteries would probably just be lead acid (only for the cost, if cost was no concern I would use lithium) I would aim for 6-8 batteries there is just not much room up front so they would most likely end up in the trunk. the controller would be tied in with the computer to control when it comes on and set all the parameters. my goal is a performance hybrid. gas millage would be nice to gain but I am doing this purely for performance (the torque of an electric and the high reving power of the rotary, i cant wait to drive it) now this is more than just a theory, I have seen/driven cars that have had this conversion (electric motor inline with the driveshaft) so its not like im just going off of an idea or theory. I am going to start this conversion in the next few months as soon as I get the funding in place. I am curious to know if anyone would be interested in having this conversion done, provided that you could test drive my hybrid and that the results are as good as I am aiming for. 2nd question is how much would you spend on this conversion (parts and installation) I hope im not going against the rules by asking this (im not trying to solicit or anything, im a long way away from that) just want to get other peoples opinions
