RX8 Help
Hi ya guys, Ive just bought an RX-8 WOW what a car best drive ive ever had. its a 2004 winning blue with 50k on clocks, but i got a couple of questions that im trying to get help with i called mazda today who didnt help me much then found this website.
Im wanting to know whats the best spark plugs to buy? will it do a rotary any damage to give the engine a flush treatment before oil change? whats the best engine treatment to use on the engine to clear some carbon and performace? sorry if these questions have been asked before. |

OEM plugs are the best. NGK is the brand. Advance Auto allows you to select "exact fit" if you plug in the car information on a spark plug search. You need 2 of each of the two different plugs that appear. 2 trailing and 2 leading. Look for a T and an L as part of the item numbers. If you are flushing with oil, no. If you are flushing with anything else, it might, depending on how much of a problem the other liquid is. Generally if you want to flush the oil system, just do a normal change, drive it 10-20 miles, do another oil change. Engine decarb is a hot topic and the people that agree don't have much proof of what effect stuff actually has. Seafoam is commonly referenced. |
