Awesome ! Been hoping someone would do this for a long time. Very keen to see how it all pans out.
The big question : what have you used to seal the side exhaust ports ? Looks like JB weld or similar .....
Also , exhaust header has no turbo flange ?

My friend boil and cast special formula materials into it , not JB weld lol

This one is NA build , turbo one already been runing for some time

Kudos... very cool innovation! :icon_tup: Interested to see more of build and performance metrics ...turbo and NA. :yesnod:

Can't wait to see Team's reaction to this when he emerges again. I miss/don't miss his input. You know what I mean?

I miss MazdaManiac's input too. I'm sure there are others as well. But at some point you become such a prick, people don't care if you give good advice.

kevink0000 10-30-2021 09:59 AM

I would love to see more about this. I like to see people actually build things.

Fickert 11-24-2021 01:21 PM

I was following the turbo one on youtube, I know you lost compression on the one rotor, what was the result? And whats so different about this material than last?

TeamRX8 11-24-2021 05:47 PM

my reaction is simply to wait and see; my position has always been that the cost and effort won’t justify the input of resources and hassle required for reasons illustrated and discussed in detail in various other threads on the subject
**until someone demonstrates otherwise**.

Been waiting patiently for 10+ years and still am …

kilawatts, with all sincerity; I’m sad for you. :(

Ready to go

Bump for interest. I have some s4 housings but the coolant seal issue

just listen to the difference here on the downshifts:

It’s easy to see why though. Once you change from a non-overlap intake-exhaust cycle scenario then all the rules change too. Nobody is picking up on one of the most basic ones that’s right in front of their face. No surprise at all, really.
.

Hold up team
Car is not full tune yet , just start up ready to brake in

Is not fair to compare to this stage

TeamRX8 02-17-2022 07:30 PM

ok, fair enough that it wasn’t clear about the status.

Diyman25 03-22-2022 05:46 AM

Even with stock Tune , engine feel Lots TQ
And pull to redline smoothly

Interesting!

I thought this project was dead in the water. Any thoughts on going to a dyno?

I think u fellow a different guy
Will ask my friend strap to Dyno that I use for my Rx8

TeamRX8 03-24-2022 01:07 PM

thanks for recharging my “calling bs” balloon :suspect: it’s not like I never heard anyone claim this before and then dyno 180 whp.
.

TeamRX8 04-28-2022 11:52 AM

a month later :dunno:
.

Snox801 04-28-2022 12:20 PM

To be fair in this current environment 1 month is not very long. Most good dyno’s around me which are many are all tied up for the next 2-3 months.
So no surprise. Looks a bit slow Erving compared to stock but not saying that can’t be cleaned up with tuning. Cool build for sure.

TeamRX8 04-29-2022 08:45 PM

true enough here, but this effort is in Taiwan

it was long enough to break it in … just going to leave it that though.
.

Snox801 04-29-2022 08:59 PM

I would love to see it on the dyno.

TeamRX8 05-04-2022 01:58 PM

hopefully we can finally put this lie to bed soon enough for what it is:

not surprised at all though
.

Brettus 05-04-2022 04:01 PM

There is no lie, just people trying stuff that may or may not bring good results.
