Me really pissed off & one bobcat that was lucky my car killed it.

The CD is to establish size. My car is currently 3 hours from me at Frema Mazda in Goldsboro, NC.

Anyone have any experience with Frema?

From what I can tell the only mechanical issue is the radiator and the steel tube connected to it, the rest if cosmetic or plastic parts that need to be replaced.

Car took it like a champ tho, never so much as swayed it's course when the damned thing jumped out.

nolz 02-12-2007 07:52 AM

I did in fact hit a Bobcat in NC. And poor bobcat my @$$ it was lucky my car killed it, or I would have. Plus it had to be suicidal anyhow, I was the only car on the road and it chose to run in front of me going 70.

BoosTED 02-12-2007 08:14 AM

Poor thing didn't hear you coming. :(

Or it was blinded by the shine off of your car.

nolanrob123 02-12-2007 08:14 AM

I would have it stuffed and mounted :)

haha, I was waiting for that... Sorry about the car, hope your insurance covers all of your repair costs.

Animals and cars never go together. I had a deer at the side of road look at me while I was driving, then at the last minute decide it wanted to jump right in front of my car. This was in broad daylight. Luckily I was able to stop in time, but I get the feeling some animals really want an intimate look at our cars (even if it costs them their life :Freak_ani )

Unfortunately the first I saw of this one was the white streak of my HID's lighting up his fur before my front end lit up his backside.

NoTears316 02-12-2007 09:19 AM

oops

Hightshoe 02-12-2007 09:27 AM

That sucks, but that bobcat is a beautiful animal, and it's depressing to see it dead.

llzjayarzll 02-12-2007 09:50 AM

did you keep the bobcat?

nolz 02-12-2007 10:02 AM

No, lol I did not keep the bobcat. I was surpised it was there and in tact the next morning, it was however gone the next day. So we should be adding "TiGrey's are cursed" to the buyers guide? heh. But unfortunately it's me, I'm the unlucky one, if it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any.

lol yah, he should of bought a Z . (jking :P)

nolz 02-12-2007 10:23 AM

or perhaps a crossfire right?

I was in love with my 8 before I bought it, I'm in pain knowing she hurts, and wont rest until she's perfect again, on the upside, I'm getting a free replacement to the two years worth of road chipping/flaking on the nose of the car :-)

Which brings me to an interesting question about debadging, are the badges held on with any hardware or are they just sticky, ie. when they replace my front bumper, is it possible to have them leave it off, or is that going to leave me with 2 to 4 mounting holes? On my mercedes the rear mercedes badge was stickied to the car, where as the model identifier was mounted via hardware.

The badge in question atm is the front one obviously, but any information you have on all of them would be appreciated, I have searched on here and only seen posts about taking it to a body shop to be done... Thanks :-)

That should buff right out...

Most of the hit-animals I've seen occur in real life/real time involve a lot more blood. Your mechanic is thanking you right now.

Similar.....

I got similar damage from a rabbit last week.

The dinged up fins are the a/c condenser, make sure your a/c still works.....

The front badges have two holes behind, the only stick-on is the trunk lid "RX-8".

I have radiator protection:

Dear Kitty:

Do NOT GO INTO THE LIGHT.

Thank you that is all,

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The irony of all of this is, the last standard I purchased was in an accident two weeks after purchase, this one... 9 days.

I just think my cars are animal hungry, my 83 Cadilac ElDorado ate a dear, (it only needed a headlight)

My 87 Mercedes 190E was really hungry, it ate a Squirrel (cracked bottom of front bumper, I think he was carrying a rock)

Then a racoon, that took out the (irony again, front passenger side bumper)

The day I got that replaced, I was going across the Hampton Roads Bridge/Tunnel and a bloody Seagull was in the road and chose not to move.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee ate a squirrel.

And now the 8 was hungry for Kitty.

My 95 Mercedes... it was just repair hungry.

(and for clarification I have only owned one car at a time..) At least this is over a span of 10 years.

I would so be sporting a bobcat skin brake handle. or maybe a steering wheel cover, he gave his life so that you might be pimped.

That's irony. Smashes your front passenger bumper to protect your interior. :)
