The store I visited is located in the Albany area. As for markup, I didn't think to check. The salesman speculated that the unit I drove (the only one present, BTW) was most likely going to become the dealership owner's personal car.

As long as you mentioned passengers and dogs in the back seat, how did they feel after the drive? Safe and secure, or with raised hair?
The passenger behind me (at 6') was the salesman who, at about 5'9", was most likely fine. Of course, I honestly wouldn't expect someone in his position to give any car he was peddling anything but praise.

My mom, at 5'4" (sitting behind my 5'9" dad) said she was perfectly fine. I was most concerned about her ability to get out of the back bucket once in as, with her advancing age, strenuous movement is increasingly difficult. No problems to report there.

As for her dog (who's the size of a tiger's hairball), he didn't have much to say.

Thanks Lyn for your comments. I would like to know your comparison of the the RX-8 to the RX-7 you own(ed).
As before, you're very kind. Thank you.

I wish I could provide a fair answer to your question, but I sold the RX-7 (a white over black with +1 Panasport rims) back in '85. So it's naturally difficult to recall enough about the car to compare with the RX-8.

What I will say is that the decision to sell the 7 remains near the top of my "What Was I Thinking?!" list. Kick me hard.
