rx-8 goes 150mph
 

after i hit 3000 mileage and change oil+filter.

me and my father decided to go LasVegas for *Drive'n*

friday night wait wait wait until midnight comes.
(cuz.. 15N freeway goes crazy on Friday 4Pm to 11PM)

at 2AM midnight. haha ZOOM! :ylsuper:
i drove first on LA to VEGAS.
120mph came out easy and so smooth way quieter + smoother than my old 3.2 TL at 120Mph...
it's not enjoyable wid TL on dat speed...
anywayz. on the way to vegas i hit 138mph on downhill and still.. no wind leaking sound or no bump or shake'n.. car goes same as 90 mph..
and it took 2hr 30min/250mile to go vegas from LA.

i won $150. dad won $70 in 1 hour "free gas"

on the way we put full tank of gas "again" and my dad drove on the way home.

yeah.... my dad hit 150mph.. on the way. wuh... woo.. :puke:
i was sweating and dad was enjoy'n.. ....shit... .. :wallbash:
after drive'n 150miles(not 150mph) we got empty gas. so.. put gas again..
take 20 min rest for car. and. took off..

it' took 2hr on the way back home...

drive'n was nice
car was nice.
but. gas...... was.... bitch.....

before 3000miles i drove very very soft.. cuz. it's a new car.. :boink:
no drag. no speeding at ALL, and change shift before 6k RPM
at that time gas mileage came out 240~250miles wid 13gallon gas.
(it's around 18~19mpg)
and.. this time.. full time rev..speeding..
it came out.. wid 150milles wid full tank..(11~12mpg.)

jesus what should i do.
no speeding wid nice car?
or drive safe + slow + block'n traffic wid good gas mileage .. grrrrrrrrr

Drive safely of cosurse, and if you have a DVD/NAV screen, better mark all the gas stations :)

i started getting confused in the second paragraph
but from what i gathered i think it sounded pretty cool

tough read, ESL, but that's ok, fun times :) Most cars running at 120+ will not produce the best freeway mileage lol.

Wow, an automobile that doesn't get good gas mileage at 150mph. Imagine that.

I was wondering if anyone had gotten the car to such speeds. I questioned if there was enough power under drag. Very cool, but very dangerous on public roads.

I am skeptical the 8 will hit 150 mph. I dont think it reaches that speed unless going downhill...

English is my second language too. I know how difficult it is to be proficient in two languages. I was teasing, hense the smily. I applaud his ability to speak more than one language. Not too many people can do that.

THATS BULLSH*T i know for a fact it goes faster ive gone 145 in my 8, n i was in 6th only doin about 7500 rpms..... i was in my buddys 8 n we did 165 when the buzzer hit in 6th so it can do about 165 u must have the automatic......shouldve gotten the 6 speed.

umm, 7500 rpm in 6th sounds a bit high and im pretty sure redline in 6th is in the 180+ mph range. ive hit 150+ and yes... it took a LONG streight down hill road.
the car felt good but id still want some aero dynamic aid if i was gonna be turning at that speed.
