RX-8 Driver Seating

this could probably be in the racing section, but i see use for this to the rest of the community who doesn't race their rx8!

this is from my memory, correct me if i'm wrong.

1. with the ball of your toe, having the clutch fully depressed (floored) there should be a slight bend in your leg. remember your but all the way back in the seat.

test: you should be able to clutch in and out many times without having to feel sore, if you are feeling sore, you are too far away or too weak, try moving the seat forward a bit, or hit the gym.

2. you should sit with your back fully supported by the seat, slightly reclined giving you 10-16 inches of space between your chest and the air bag.

3. the steering wheel should not block any of the instrument cluster, and should be pointed at your sternum (where ribs split) not your face.

4. with arms at the 3 and 9 there should be a slight bend

test: you should be able to slide both both hands around the steering wheel with ease, with shoulders fully back.
test:with arms relaxed on the steering wheel, your wrists should be making contact with the steering wheel, not the tips of your hands.

you should now be comfortable and have better control of your vehicle.
the rx8 can fit people of sizes in this position...i have one question though, how are you guys accomodating for a helmet? :/ my 6 foot 2 friend fits, but i can't fit with a helmet comfortably.

anything else i'm missing?

so recline it a bit. i have weird ocd and other stuff, i just want 1 perfect setting.

i'll try, but everything just seems so...awkward compared to my "perfect" settings.
