Rust issue under driver's side view mirrow
So I was washing my car last weekend and noticed some rust, took off the driver side mirror and noticed extensive damage. Anyone have something like this? No other rust on the car. Its a 2004.
My guess is they will have to cut out all the rust, re-weld new metal in, grind it down to match, then paint it all. Is getting a new door easier?

it looks like the seals failed, water got in and stuck there, after a while, this is the result.
and yes, getting a new door is easier than cut it out, new metal weld in, grind, and repaint.

But a new door will need to be painted too...what's the rough cost of a new door. I have a friend who can paint it, so that may help with the cost....
