Recently Purchased Rx-8!

After perusing used car ads online for a month or so, I came across a gem on craigslist, a Mazda 2005 Blue Rx-8 6-speed manual with 56,000 miles for ~13,000.
When I drove across north Florida to look at the car, I was surprised at the amount of care was put into the car (at least aesthetically). There are few visible flaws on the interior, and only minor, what I'm assuming to be, rock scratches on the hood (owner lived down a dirt road; some might be able to be buffed out). I went back yesterday to buy the car (talked down to 11.9) and it drove home like a dream. I'm brand new to the forum, my previous car was a 1996 mercury cougar that clunked out on me, so I needed a new used car. If anyone has any questions/advice about condition of the rest of the car, as well as any other advice about the general upkeep of an rx-8 would be greatly appreciated. Disregard the terrible lighting, got home past dark. Will have better pictures of the exterior tomorrow. |
Congrats. Enjoy the great new ride. That's a great color choice. Search around and be sure to read all of the sticky's for important info.

Thanks all!
All the FAQ's and stickies were super helpful. I posted some better pictures in my other thread in the Photo gallery |
This car really attracts rocks for some reason, I have a bunch of chips and scratches on my front bumper and I do not live near dirt roads or drive on any.
