Rear light condensation
It's been raining a lot here recently and oscillates between hot & cold.
Latest problem is condensation in both rear light clusters. Somehow rain has got in there and when you run the car (and you know how hot it gets!) it mists the lenses up. I have it on both sides on the upper clear section. According to the engineer I spoke to this affects all 8's. What's happening with the aircon fix? Still boiling, John |
I dont have any condensation after 3 months

I have posted before regarding this problem. Another member in Canada had this problem. (Do search under taillight). I printed that page and took to my dealer for I too was gettin crazes in both rear lights, with condensation build-up. The service asst. manager said NO PROBLEM Mazda had informed them of the problem and in fact had come to the dealership checking all the 8's they had. Both were changed right there on the spot under warranty. Something to do with the frame rigidity and some early light frames?? Anyway, my new ones are great w/no H2O getting in. Good luck.

Yes, I have this on my rear pass. side. I'll put it on the list to have checked/fixed when I take mine in for the first oil change...
So far, I've only got to ask about this, the hook for the floormat, and... well, that's all I can think of right now. pretty good for 3k miles. |
Seems like it ought to get in when spraying the taillights to get the soap out from around the edges when washing the car. I haven't seen any problem yet (4500 miles).
