quickest, easiest, safest way to disable the 8
Okay so I'm driving down to florida next week where I'm flying to the carribean for a week and a half. I'm probably gonna be leaving my 8 at my buddy's house or his parents house. I'll most likely take the keys with me but still........what's a quick, easy way to disable the car until I get back? Particular fuse maybe? The battery is too obvious. I think a crackhead could figure that out. Thanks for any pointers.......

What if they have to move the car?
|
Flood it!
Let them figure that one out! :) |
Eccentric shaft sensor connector...hard to see...and won't run without it...and won't flood the car if they try....also it is not as obvious as a fuse or relay.....it will crank normally..but won't start

If you don't trust them enough to leave the keys for an emergency, then leave it somewhere else. |
Park it in a lot you're not supposed to and let them boot it!
|
take the motor out it only weights 303lbs just set in their kitchen cupboad or something....

The bad thing is that u have to remove the airbox to access the connector, yeah if u have small hands u can reach it from the bottom, but that means u have to jack ur car up plus is a pain to try to pry the connector out Yes Car will crank, appears to be normal. but no fuel delivery (so it will not start) |

A Battery-Disconnect Switch is cheap & easy.

Cobb AccessPORT + Anti-Theft Mode map. It's not cheap, but you can't tell what someone has on here just by their post count. Most everywhere I lived in South Florida is as flat as Paris Hilton so you could still leave them your key and they can push it if they need it moved.

disconnect the fuel pump connector

Ya I don't know I trust his parents I guess. I'll see if i can leave it with them probably. I'm just being paranoid cause I haven't had it that long and would go balistic if something happened to it. |
Leave it with someone else.
He's not your friend if you can not trust him. |
take a tire with you... i do it all the time with my bicycle.

Just take the key and make it very clear to him you know specifically how many miles are on it and if that number is any different when you get back there will be blood!
