Quick question: Alignment & Drop

Gents, I have a quick question that I would like to ask.

Let's say if my springs were installed correctly and without product defects. Knowing that alignment is necessary after drop. Will "off" the chart alignment setting cause one side of the car to be lower than the other?

Background story: 1 year ago, I got my springs installed at a shop (Been there for a few years, trust their tech). One week later, I got an alignment done at the dealership. During this 1 year time period, I always thought my rear-right was a finger tip lower than the left. I also notice that the rear-right was more titled. So right now, I am trying to figure the actual problem. Was it a bad install (pre-load?), or is my alignment bad.

To recap, if a drop is the same on both sides, will a more negative camber side be lower than the more positive side.

Is your gap between the tire and the fenderwell the same on both sides? That might be an indicator. Of the gap is the same, I would say camber, if not then I would blame suspension.

Your shocks could be bad or it could have been a botched install. Maybe they put the rear springs on one side and the fronts on the other.

My 8 is a 2010 R3 with 25000km. I highly doubt my shocks are bad. I also checked that the springs are in the correct position.

No, the gap between the tire and the fenderwell is not exactly the same. It is slightly off... God, I better take it to a shop to check.

What kind of springs? Sounds to me like improper preloading. I doubt that shop will even know what preloading is. I had to play with a local members 2010 sport to get it to sit right with the Tein S techs.

Tanabe NF

So I should try another shop, ask them to reinstall the rear then get an alignment done.

You do that and let us know the outcome. Anyway, i think, one or more of the springs could be sagging...idk
