Hey everyone, I just have a quick question. As many of you know, i'm not an RX-8 owner just yet (I currently drive an '07 Cobalt SS), but once I get the 'balt sold, i'll be getting an RX-8.........hoping to have it by the end of winter. Anywho, my goal is to find a clean, stock, 6MT nordic green metallic model. My questions is........did nordic green RX-8's have the sport package as an option? If not, around how much do the side/rear spats cost, and where can I get them? I like the look of the side/rear spats, and I plan on running a different front lip. I'm trying to price & source everything out in advance so that once I get the car, it'll be built and ready to cruise come summer time. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

I can't really answer your question. But I changed from a 05 cobalt SS to the Rx8 as well believe me you'll love the change! Oh and goodluck on finding the Nordic Green those are hard to come by...

 

Well your in luck, there is a Nordic Green Sport w/ appearance package in Chantilly, VA for 11,500 6speed manual with 60k miles.

Nordic green was only in production for two years on the 04-05 models. They are very hard to come by, but good thing I was browsing craigslist as this has poped out at me.

BTW the owner is trying to say this is special by saying its a Shinka. It is not. Shinkas were Black Cherry Mica and only 1500 made.

I looked into the Black Cherry ones but decided to go with the 06

gl with the find nordic greens are hard to come by but if you look youll find one

 

I just pointed one out for him. In his area thats nordic green for a decent price. The owner claims its a shinka which we all know Nordic greens are not shinkas!

Yes all the RX8 colors had the option of Base and GT models. The appearance package was an extra option. Your best bet for the side and rear aero flares would be to check on here or on ebay

 

Why would you want a Nordic Green? I think that's the worst color...

 

Thats why god made this lovely thing called "opinions". Why do I want nordic green? Many reasons. For one, its rare. Its also a very subtle, classy color. Next, it goes with the whole "scheme" I have in mind. My heart is set on nordic green and thats that.

Yeah, owell. Theres plenty of fish in the sea. I've been very busy with work so I haven't had time to come on here. I've been using some of my vacation days which is finally how I made time to come check my threads.

Plus, my Cobalt isn't ready to sell just yet, and i'm probably not gonna get the RX-8 until I pickup my daily, which should be by the end of the year. I gotta get a door ding removed, detail the inside/out, and buy 2 new tires for my stock wheels for the Cobalt, and then its going up for sale/being traded in. Then i'm gonna just tote around the '98 S-10 4-cyl i'm picking up until I find the right car. Like I said, i'm willing to travel. My parents live about 500 or so miles away and I visit them quite frequently. I'd go the same distance for a car :D

 

As much as I HATE Carmax (I bought a car through them once before), thats probably my best bet. And they ship cars from dealer to dealer. I didn't know they did this though.......thanks for the information man
