Quick cargo net question...

I was thinking about getting one to hold a few loose items in the trunk, but wanted to make sure where it installed- is it close to the trunk opening, or more forward against the back of the back seats? If the latter, I don't see it's usefullness with that big spare tire in the way.

Anybody have a pic handy of it installed? (I did some searches, and learned of the installation tips, but no pics)...

Thanks!

Yes, it is tight against the trunk entrance lip, not the rear of the rear seatbacks. Overall I like having it, however, I do occasionally snag a piece of luggage on it and have to back it out and reinsert. I keep a quart of oil and a few items in it that would otherwise bounce around a little bit.

It's by the trunk opening. I will see about getting a pic if possible.

It goes at the very rear of the trunk, right at the opening. Getting things in and out is way easy. You said you found prior threads on install; I would reiterate that using a hammer to gently tap in the four anchors worked very well. Otherwise, getting the screws to start in was virtually impossible for many people.

Perfect- I'll order it then... thanks for the quick reply!

I'm surprised that nobody has tried to make their own cargo net yet.

My golf bag ALWAYS snags on the darn thing. I'll probably remove mine.

Thanks-- I received the cargo net from Trussville today. I followed the 'tap it in' method rather than widening the holes for the bottom, with one small twist. I put a little spit on the rubber 'sleeves' to lube them and used a rubber mallet to do the tapping- took about 2 minutes to do the whole thing. Now my car care crap isn't bouncing around the trunk : )
