question about extended warranty

so i just bought my rx8, its a 2004 with 60k miles and i gotta question about the extended warranty, is that warranty offered to me now as well, or is it only for the original owner of the car and if something does go wrong with the engine like an apex seal how would i go about fixing it with the warranty? do i just show up at a mazda dealer with my broke down rx8 and say fix it! lol or do i need some sort of paperwork? thanks alot for any positive replies

you should click the google link in my sig to learn how to properly search the Club...

to answer: the warranty transfers from the date of first purchase. To claim the warranty, a certified mazda tech will run testing to find out if the failure was due to the engine build (to a degree). They will then request authorization from Mazda USA. If you are accepted, they will fix the engine INTERNALS under warranty.

There's much more reward when learning on your own :smoker:

More knowledge, too. When you ask, you get answers/opinions from the handful of people who happen to see the post and reply. If you search or browse the forum, you have access to all of the answers that have been posted over the years.

It is a lot easier if you show up with history and receipts to collect on warranty work.
