are you permanently running an open loop or something?
Could you elaborate a bit please. Are you suggesting that Engine temperature can force the ecu in to open loop? I'm confused ... no curious on what running in Open Loop has to do with the OP problem. Can you help me out here, thanks man. |

Not have thermostat" sounds to me like the thermostat has been removed. Years ago people used to do that in hot weather.
JoJe - put the thermostat back. If you took it out because of an overheating problem, replace it with a new one. Then look for things like a blocked radiator, water pump belt slipping, etc. If you can describe where the coolant is coming from, that would help. Ken |

not sure we can really understand your question. Are you saying that the car leaks coolant after about 20 mins of driving? Also what do you mean by "not have thermostat" ... are you permanently running an open loop or something?

And.....................you have a bad coil or coils.............since you have a misfire code. The misfire code could be plugs or wires, but I would bet coil(s).
How many miles on the car and give us the maintenance history. Get a thermostat like everyone else says! Also, once again...................where is coolant coming from? |
Wrong subforum.

If we are understanding you correctly, and you are running without a thermostat... Ken is right. You need to install it. The restriction that it provides is necessary for the cooling system to function properly.
