problem with engine
 

i was riding my recently bought manual rx8 which was built in 12/03 and i happened to stall while i was on a hill with the AC on. Shortly after stalling the air from the AC smelled like oil or gas? and proceeded not to start for 3-4 times. the check engine warning sign is on and the engine started after about 5 mins.. i parked it in my garage and wondering what is wrong .. any comments would help. :confused:

Was the car warmed up? Sounds like you may have flooded it. The smell is common when you first start the car, it is the oil in the rotary chamber burning up. I would'nt worry about it.

Sounds like a flood to me as well.

no i haven't had the M flash.
but is.. flood bad for the car?
and how long should i wait to drive it again?
