I don't drag race my 8, that's not what I bought it for. Perhaps someone else could help more.

You need smaller rims.

Around 7k rpm

wow ditch the 20" wheels bro ... fuck yo
If you have a series I RX8 and can look at changing the final drive as well, replacing it with a series II final drive

I feather off the clutch around 5500 - 6000 without nitrous, with the juice on I drop it a 5500 and hang the fuck on ..... first gear whips by with a 65 shot ... you gotta be ready to shift or you'll hit the fuel cutoff.

Failing all that ... entry level 370 coupe is less than a new RX8 R3 ... buy that.

does the veilside kit give you more hp????????????

I am genuinely curious how the body kit and rims are relevant.

I would suggest you drop the go pedal, wait for the beep, pop the clutch, and watch all your friends congratulate you as the hero that you are.

Then again, you may have to patiently pick up all the pieces of your rear suspension that scattered about the track due to terminal wheel hop.

carbonRX8 05-22-2010 12:45 PM

^^^heh heh.

I actually forgot about the TC bit.

I have RB sways as well! That and better springs and dampeners definitely mute my wheel hop as well, but I can still get it sometimes.

Vielside and 20s? Sweet! You ever take that thing over some sweet jumps?

Tires play a great role in wheel hop as well and give you lots of headaches.
Social profiling nowadays is too fun!

that sound dirty!

btw, quick feather of the clutch at ~5k rpm was the ticket for me...
