When I say auto-wash, I am referring to touchless spray-on gas station washers. I don't do the spinning brushes washers. In fact, I didn't even know stations still operated those. Around me (NoVA), they're all touchless.
It does a decent job (gets off the pollen, noticable stuff tree shit, etc), costs $6 or so, and takes about 8 minutes. Now don't interpret what I'm saying to mean that YOU shouldn't clean your car. Hell, I love seeing pics of a gloriously Zainod 8. They're gorgeous. I just know that can/will never be my car because: 1) I don't have a garage 2) I have lots of old trees around me that drop crap daily 3) I drive the car daily, in traffic and through construction areas 4) I DO live in an area that coats your car overnight will pollen <shrug> I guess I'll just enjoy looking at YOUR shiny 8 ;-) |
heh
im a whore, I take my car to one of the do it yourself wash places with the wands and brushes put one dollar in fill my bucket, add my Z7 carwash and go to town, add another dollar to rinse and then i pull ahead to the bays where you can vacuume and detail. So it costs me 2 dollars for a handwash, which when you think about it is a deal for them because they (the carwash people) are getting like a dollar per gallon of water I use. Oh yes I *TRY* to go to these kinds of places later in the evening or at night because I know bucketwashing is frowned upon. |
