I remember being at a track day many years ago and seeing my first race prepped RX8 being unloaded. A year earlier I saw my first Elise on track and was eager to see how it stacked up and hoped we crossed paths, the Elise would prove to be a pretty slow car on a faster track, the RX8, surprised the hell out of me.

I was out of the pits on a warm up lap when a 8 caught me and passed me, I was eager to keep tabs with it and then try to run with it, figuring it would be easy pickings like the Elise..... boy was I wrong, I had no idea, at the time there was a tube frame and 20B under the hood, I could not cope with the 8, it walked away from me very easily. I was impressed!!

Then I came to find out, that they were very very trick cars far from a stock RX8.
