Overheating pain in my pocket

Hi every one I have a 2004 RX8 and I have been having cooling problems . When I am racing around the temp goes up . I just replaced the radiator with a all aluminum Megan racing radiator, moshimoto aluminum cooling fans , thermostat , Greddy 1.3k radiator cap , new coolant , cooling fan control kit . The water pump and expansion tank both are two years old with 10,000 miles on them . The temp will go up to 230 but will drop . Is that ok? I took the cooling fan control kit off and put the stock triggers back on and no change . I wonder if it could be my temperature sending unit but I don’t know where to find it . Can anyone help me to figure this out ? I could use some literature on where to find the temp sending unit and if anyone has any helpful ideas please ? Also I have all of my stock plastics on the car to direct the air threw the radiator. And the foams . I have AEM cold air intake so the stock air box is gone . BHR ignition ,

230° is danger zone for a Renesis.
well you answered most of my question: foam, undercarriage, etc.

obviously being in the desert isn't helping you much but I've taken my 8 to Vegas and don't see temps that high when just driving around.

as for literature: Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals

Unfortunately I don't really have very many solutions for you.
have you verified the fans are indeed kicking on?
are you reading the temps through OBD?
When you say 'racing round' do you mean driving the car pretty hard or normal driving conditions? How quickly is the temperature dropping when coasting down the road.
is 230 being seen while the car is idle or when moving?

Yes I am reading the temp threw OBD2 . I’ll be driving down the road in 2nd gear and redline it then 3rd gear and redline it and it will get up to 230 with ac on but the temp will sit there for a minute as I’m driving and then start to drop . The stock gauge will lift past middle but then start to drop . Now if I put an inferred thermometer on the thermostat housing it says it’s not that hot like only 200 while the OBD2 still says 219 . But the ac will turn off for a few seconds then come back on when the gauge drops back below the half way mark. Is that just a safety ? Could the temp sending unit be giving a false reading and telling the Computer that it’s hot which turns off the ac to protect the engine ? I just ordered a new temp sending unit because the one I have is original to the car with 113000 miles on it . It’s the only thing I have not replaced yet ..

Did you ever try and fix it and see if that was the issue?
