Oops! Overdid the oil!

As a relatively new RX-8 owner (new to me that is, not brand new!) I've been pretty good about keeping my eye on my oil levels but seem to have accidentally overfilled over the weekend and now my engine light has come on! I discovered the overfill after the fact. My question is, am I totally scre*ed? Thanks for any information or advice.

The oil ran into your intake through a breather hose.
I would remove the intake section before the throttle body and clean it.
Open the throttle body flap and clean around there with the dry towel.
You should also remove the MAF sensor and clean that out with contact cleaner.
Remember, when you pull out the MAF assembly, the dark "tear-drop" is not the MAF sensor... that is the IAT (Intake Air Temp).
Up inside the housing you'll see two resistor wires running parallel with each other... that is the MAF sensor.
Just spray a generous amount in there and let it air dry before reinstalling.
The CEL will go away after a few drive cycles.

Oh yeah... good advise! :)
If you're gonna take the time to clean it out, better make sure it doesn't come back!

your engine light came out *probably* because you overfilled it like crap, and the oil has *came up and went into your intake tube and fog the MAF like nutz*

drain and fill the oil again, follow the other's advise(cleaning) , thats it.
