Oil Tubing Corroded?
So, even with the new engine on my car and everything, shit still seems to be going wrong. Now my radiator had a crack in it (warranty is covering that thank god) and then I was leaking oil so they said my oil tubing is corroded and that is the reason for it.
Though, i'd be fine with paying a few hundred dollars for them to fix some tubing, but they want ~$1200 for the oil tubing. Does this sound even remotely right? |
I thought there was a TSB for those Oil Lines to the Oil Coolers

Yep, I had to replace those on my car 3 yrs ago. I forgot what the new price for them was, but it was expencive. I got a set of used ones from N.C. for $150.

The OEM ones are actually not that bad a price if you look at the cost to make SS Braided ones
Mazmart has a sale today...might want to check that out :) https://www.rx8club.com/mazmart-88/d...0856-new-post/ |

Yea, I think making them would be smart. Either way, I called the Mazda down at school who replaced the engine, bitching at them of course, and they might actually cover everything? we'll see..

UPDATE: So, the Mazda who put in the engine, and all these problems started, does not want to cover anything, which is BS. 3 times in their shop, 4 times in general? My car has been in the shop for almost half the time I've had it.
Either way, what is Mazda's like complaint line? Because I am just going to report this Mazda to them for the bullshit they are putting me through. |
