Oh, Darn.....a hit & run.

So i buy my RX-8 on September 19th. All is well til last night. I come home and relax and get ready for another day of work. This morning i go to work like usual and so forth. About noonish i go to lunch and notice a nice surprise. Someone at my apartment back into the front of my car. The damage isn't too bad, but you can tell someone bumped into it pretty good. Pics later

The same thing happened when i bought my accord. Three weeks later someone sideswipes me and takes off.

The insurance company has yet to see my car. I am not sure if they will cover the damage since they never did a visual inspection of the car after i bought it. I have AAA insurance. How screwed am i? Do you think they will cover the damage?

Tough to say per individual company. My insurance never inspected my car, but they still paid out when it got keyed.

if it's a new car, they wouldn't need an inspection, but I assume you know that...

Insurance company inspecting your car? Never heard of it. My understanding was that as soon as they know you have a new car you're covered on a temporary basis til the ink dries on the paperwork...or something like that.
