OBDII iPhone reader?
 

Just curious if anyone has heard of such a thing as an OBDII reader app on iPhone that you can buy a cable for? That would be sweet..

Why didn't you search? I just want to know. Why?

I did search, thanks. Thats not the kind of thing I am talking about.
I am talking about an OBDII cable that plugs directly into the iPhone dock connector, for simple code retrieval. I dont really care about the wifi rev app that costs hundreds of dollars to get all the bits. I also dont need more gauges and readouts, either.
I looked on google for a while but didnt see anything like what I am referring too. Also, not looking for an app that explains codes that you enter in manually.

OP, please learn to search first and foremost. This forum will not take kindly to people who ask questions that can easily be answered with a little effort on their part. The second half of this post will explain why.

Because I'm feeling charitable, this will be a freebie.

The iPhone (unlike Android phones) will NOT do OBDII over Bluetooth so you're stuck with Wifi. (which makes both of the suggestions the guy above me made useless...) The only worthwhile option is the Kiwi Wifi.

That dongle in conjunction with a free iOS app like FuzzyCar will allow you to read and clear engine codes and CEL's. More expensive apps exist like Rev, DashCommand and Speedport.

2 seconds of Googling led me to all of this btw.
