Well, I had a bad experience with mine.

I got to work, parked it, and had to stop driving it. I won't get to drive it again until quitting time.

Hope I can last that long.

It was 40 degrees this morning. My RX-8 did more than well today.

you know i had the same problem with mine this morning so i tested it again at lunch and had to stop driving again. what's that all about? i think mazda needs a fix for that.

They do, it called Rx-atine

It's a patch you can apply directly to your skin that simulates the effect of driving the 8.

it was 24 degrees this morning with a wind chill in the 10's. the RT615's hated it, but the car seems to enjoy it :rock:

I had a problem with my rx8 today. I'm just trying to work out who to blame.

A bird, a big white one with a big white arse, left a big white deposit on the window as I was driving a couple of hours ago.

It's not good enough. Doesn't this car come with an automatic bird poo remover?

Mine did just fine today, it was me that wasnt so fine after the rock chip to the windshield... a nice big pit too, not the kind you can go get filled and fixed.. damn Dodge duallys on the freeway! :cussing:

But I made it through. Might have to try some Rx-atine to calm down a little, no flying gravel needed and/or required.

tell me about it. Day I drove my car home from body shop after getting mazdaspeed body a big ass 36 wheeler or somethin kicked up like five stones right in my face! I swerved all over the bridge to avoid hitting those rocks. Good thing the 8 is so responsive..

My 8 is just so boring - I'm going to be really happy when it breaks down & I can come on here & bitch about it .

Yeah it's amazing what a little cooler air can do. ;)

It is also faster in the slalom due to the shorter wheelbase makes it more agile.

well i got cursed for posting this. My RX8 just got flooded.

17F according to the RX-8's dashboard. Started right up and pulled right out of the driveway. The Blizzacks held the road just fine (quite a challenge considering most of the roads have a sheet of solid ice under the snow this week).

Went to Boston over the weekend, and parked the 8 in the Garage under the Hyatt overnight on Friday. It was ridiculously cold, with wind chills bringing it close to (or what felt like under) 0 degrees. After sitting for 27 hours or so, it started up first try and ran great. It really was cold enough that I thought I could be calling for a jump, but no such luck. :lol:

Update - left my RX-8 parked for 1 week on account of too extreme cold. Started right up on the first crank after just chillin' for the week.

The zoom-zoom continues........

Same story from North Adams, Mass. I had a fabulous 1,200 mile drive through the North East in six days. The car is great on the twisties; great on the highway; and perfectly fine through hard snowing Vermont. I love my car!

Mine didnt get turned on today. So no problems fortunately.

haven't driven mine since last Friday, i'm having withdrawl!!!

l left my key on acc for 1.5 hours to charge my cell phone....

it started fine... and i think i am getting an extra 7.9mpg... reallly.. you should try it...

Today I also didn't have a problem. But yesterday while not passing up the store because I had no OJ (not the murderer but the tasty beverage) I didn't notice engine trouble. In the not going to the dealer the mechanic had no answers (friggin Mazda :mad: )

We can't beat a shopping cart? Really? I mean, I noticed one revving next to me while at the store. I didn't take it seriously. How much boost can you get on those beasts?

Crossing my fingers my 8 makes it through today unscathed.

I did my *evil* Synthetic Oil Change on monday.(again)

I was chatting with someone with an 04 that had like 12-13K miles.

My '05 just turned 10K.

Maybe, I bought my `04 brand new in Sept `05 and it now has just over 20,000 miles. Don't you like your RX-8? Why don't you drive it more. ;)

BTW, funny thing happened.. after i got my new motor. that is running just as good as the old one...

long story..

but i went to change back to rp syn... i had 2 qts left in a 5 gal jug..... god has a sense of humor...

to funny. i had to drive a hybrid, not that there is anything wrong with that. to buy castoil 5w30...

and change the 6 qts out.. and yes you can get 6 qts out..
