Need to reset idle

Need to reset the idle.

Doesn't this just mean I need to push the break pedal 20 times or something?

What exactly is the reset method because I'm about to go down there and just do it myself.

resetting the battery causes your car to relearn the fuel trims. However, it SHOULDN'T cut the engine out, though it's not unheard of. You could have either failing ignition, clooged air filter, poor maf sensor, etc.
The trims will relearn after a couple drive cycles (warm up, shut down and fully cool, then repeat).

Thank you.

Yes, that's not weird at all. You are forcing the engine to idle.

Just allow your car to go through a few drive cycles.
