No flashing light when locking or unlocking door

Hello, everyone...

What would cause my lights to stop flashing when I lock of unlock my doors on my 2005 RX-8. They were working fine until maybe a week ago. The doors still lock and iunlock, but I'm wondering now if the alarm is being set.

Make sure your trunk is closed. Open it and close it good...

Wow... No one told the newbie to 'shut up and search'? Can it be true that members are getting nicer? No way....

hhaa I just made a thread on this because it was happening to me. Pop the trunk and close it again.

Then your going to want to slap yourself.

+1

this used to throw me for a loop when i first bought the car.

These guys are just joking with you... its nothing to do with the trunk. You just have to top up the blinker fluid and you'll be fine... common mistake.

haha^ no check the trunk and hood and that is probably it make sure both are closed and the passenger side door(if ppl rarely ride with u)

kersh4w 07-21-2008 08:25 PM

i buy all my blinker fluid here.

Seen this before... check your trunk fluid. It's right next to the blinker fluid reservoir.

Easy_E1 07-21-2008 09:42 PM

Have you checked the trunk? Make sure it's shut?

Got,,,, to,,,,,,, help,,,,,,,,, the Noooooob!

It happened to me a couple of years ago. Yes I was a noob once too. The shame,,

04RX8man 07-22-2008 09:34 PM

haha we have not heard back from the OP so i'm guessing it was the trunk haha...it's ok to b a noob i think we all have done it before(been a noob that is)

8 Maniac 07-23-2008 02:37 AM

happened to me too. I didnt think much of it for some reason, and later remembered that I had popped the trunk but ended up not having to use it and forgot to close it (got distracted and never actually opened). Probably didnt see "search noob" cause it's not a common question... at least not as common as "what exhaust should I get?"

yeah... how many miles do you have on your car? chances are you're over due. Better to fill it up before it's too late. If you dont, the fines will be much more expensive if a cop gets you for it.

Re:

I appreciate all the replies, but I topped off the flashing light fluid over the weekend, so I don't think that's the problem. Are there any other light fluids I should be checking?
