Okay so I have been browsing these forums in stealth for a few years now. I finally went out and started really considering a Rx8. I ended up buying an 04 with 57k miles on it. Got it for around 13000.

Pros: I have received so many head nods or "Nice car man" haha just makes you feel amazing when you know your driving such a unique car ( I traded in my POS 95 camaro with 212k miles on it ). I definitely love how when you drive past people they do the double take to see what you were driving. I'm absolutely in love with the red/black two tone interior it came with. It fits me perfect in the way that it keeps begging for more when your driving(Probably going to get me a speeding ticket on those on ramps). I actually enjoy it when people are like is that a v6 or a v8? I usually get a good laugh out of it and just say its a rotary engine that spins in a circle. I have a bad habit that when i am walking to my car i try to make everybody around notice by hitting the unlock button when people are by her.

Cons: For some reason I cant seem to get my seat in comfortable position yet... My 5 minute trips to run to the store ends up in a 30 minute cruise around the town. I hate how dirty the black gets makes me feel like im not giving my baby enough attention although i wash it like every 3-5 days. I go out of my way to look for other rx8's around town and when i see one i honk and wave but non are as excited as me i guess .

Currently the only thing i have done to her is painted the caliphers red. Future plans are Clear side markers, Possibile painting the front grille silver but kinda scared to do that right now. Tint all the way around. Then eventually some black rims if I get around to it.

Im still really debating on if I should buy a warrenty or not.... Any adviced would be greatly appricated!

Overall i am extremely satisifed and so glad I bought an rx8. Here are a few pictures that i took today. Ill upload some more tomorrow.

 

a relatively easy mod you can do is changing all the interior bulbs to an LED color of your choice. this would consist of the MAP/Dome/Courtesy/Glove/Trunk and the sunshade mirror lights (or what ever they are called)

 

Any pictures? Sounds pretty interesting to replace them all with matching red lights....

Haha yah I was looking to get a red one with red/black interior but i found this black one with red/black interior and i instantly fell in love. I currently have a Black on Black rx8 as the black ground for my inspiration
